Judgment Day

Acts 3:19-21 English Standard Version (ESV)

19 Repent therefore, and turn back, that your sins may be blotted out, 20 that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord, and that he may send the Christ appointed for you, Jesus, 21 whom heaven must receive until the time for restoring all the things about which God spoke by the mouth of his holy prophets long ago.

We have been studying John Brevere’s book Driven by Eternity with our group this season and he writes a God inspirited story about judgement day and what that will look like.

Scriptures tell us Luke 13:24 “Strive to enter through the narrow door. For many, I tell you, will seek to enter and will not be able. However God has also already given us the direction for entrance to His kingdom in the scriptures.  Our journey is to read, learn understand and align our lives in partnership with eternity.

We have made God out to be loving, kind, merciful, accepting, and all though He is ALL those and so much more, He is also just and Judge, and we have been given clear direction on what we are responsible for and the consequence of not aligning ourselves with that. There will be a day of Judgement and our society has moved to this passive, make everyone comfortable, and don’t offend anyone, which really is only part of the enemy’s plan and we are being seduced by that lie.

To make us numb and dumb to the things of this world,  pretending there is no consequence to our actions and behavior. . Reality is EVERY  choice has a consequence.  Its called FREE WILL a perfect gift given to each of us in the very beginning.  We will be held accountable to our actions, words, choices, and will all kneel before God and make account for this life.

Romans 14:11 for it is written, “As I live, says the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God.”

Will you be ready? I have had a humbling awakening as we work through this study and had to honestly examine my life and who I am and what I am doing and questions myself,  Will I stand before God and hear him say to me “Well done, my good and faithful servant?”   Acts 3:19 speaks to our sin and our loving  God is giving us an out for our ugly nature…

Repent, TURN AWAY and then our sins will be blotted out, with that choice, comes a reward, times of refreshing from being in the presence of the Lord… AMEN  Examine yourself and be honest… Our God is gazing upon you and delights in you and wants nothing more but to be in close relation with you and for you to encounter his beautiful presence
